Ezra Pound was born in 1885 in Hailey, Idaho. He came to Europe in 1908 and settled in London, where he became a central figure in the literary and artistic world.
In 1920, he moved to Paris and later to Rapallo in Italy.
During the Second World War, Pound made a series of propagandist broadcasts over Radio Rome. For this, he was later tried in the United States and subsequently committed to a hospital for the insane.
