The covers are created by our artists and designers, who spend countless hours transforming original artwork into gorgeous 3D masterpieces. These notebooks not only feel good in the hand but also look wonderful on a desk or table.

  • A pocket at the back for scraps and receipts
  • Two ribbon markers to help keep track of more than just a to-do list
  • Robust ivory text paper, printed with lines
  • A magnetic side flap to keep everything neat and tidy when collecting other notes or scraps of paper

THE ARTIST

William Morris (1834–96) was an outstanding character of many talents—an architect, writer, social campaigner, artist, and an important figure of the Arts and Crafts movement through his Kelmscott Press. Many know him best for his superb furnishings and textile designs, intricately weaving together natural motifs in a highly stylized two-dimensional fashion influenced by medieval conventions.

In 1878, Morris & Co. welcomed a young assistant, John Henry Dearle (1860–1932), who became an indispensable part of the company’s production lines after Morris’s death in 1896, creating paper and fabric designs of his own.

THE FINAL WORD

As William Morris said:
"Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful."
